The Minnesota Car Enthusiast Club was founded in 2015 on the basis of being an outlet for good for the entire car community in Minnesota. In December the heads of dozens of Minnesota based car clubs met to determine the nature of this organization. First and foremost MNCEC was to be ran as a 501(c)3 non-profit and at the direction of all the car clubs, like a car based United Nations for Minnesota. All groups that participate get a vote and help steer the direction of the organization. We also knew that we wanted to help the community as a whole and giving people the skills and knowledge to know how to work on their own vehicles.

Our charity mission is "to provide the educational resources needed such as training lectures and tools to the general public with the intent of teaching proper maintenance, driving, and repair skills needed to own and operate a motor vehicles".

We use our charity status to host Do It Yourself Garage days where we teach people how to work and maintain their vehicles. Generally we host at an automotive garage with lifts but our venues do change seasonally.
